Ole Miss names Dr. Jeffery S. Vitter as New Chancellor

Just six months after the controversial firing of Chancellor Dan Jones, the University of Mississippi has selected his replacement.

The Board of the Institutes of Higher Learning, which decided not to renew Jones's contract, has announced that Dr. Jeffery S. Vitter from the University of Kansas will become the 17th chancellor at Ole Miss when he takes office on January 1st. Colin Cody has more on that story here.
