Young Participant John-Owen Yoste Runs Revenge Race

The skies were clear in the early morning hours on April 25, when nearly 400 participants gathered to race in the annual Double Decker Spring Run. Start2Finish partnered with the Oxford-Lafayette Chamber of Commerce to put on the 5K, 10K and Kids Fun Run in the 20th annual Double Decker Arts Festival. What seems to be a fun event to many turned out to be a bit of a personal challenge for young participant John Owen Yoste who says he was determined to do better this year than last. Yoste ran his first mile and clocked it at 5:33, placing higher on the leader board. This year, participants used Start2Finish's timing system. A chip was placed on each runners bib to track their time. The system made it easier for participants like Yoste to clock themselves and see where they matched up among the others in the race.
