The use of smart drugs

The stimulant Vyvanse

As finals near, stress among students increase tremendously and students begin to look for other outlets to calm their anxiety, this is when most students turn to “study drugs.” The two main “study drugs” are Vyvanse and Adderall. These two medicines are stimulants to treat patients with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactive disorder). They are stimulants, which increase activity in your body thus making you able to focus better and for longer periods of time. Over the years, the amounts of students that have turned to this drug have skyrocketed. Vyvanse and Adderall has become a commonly distributed drug across college campuses. Bridge Leigh, senior Integrated Marketing Communications major, says “He has used them [Vyvanse and Adderall] in the past and tries not to resort to them but school often gets stressful.” Also, Vyvanse and Adderall have been used for weight loss, because you suffer from loss of appetite for up to 12 hours. With workloads increasing the distribution among college students will only increase in the future. Ashley Page has more on the story click here
