The Oxford Checklist

The city of Oxford, Mississippi is generally known for its' college Ole Miss and football team. The city is also known for renown landmarks the grove and the square. But what many people don't realize is that Oxford has a few hidden secrets. The Oxford Checklist was created by students and citizens to get out and to fully explore what their town has to offer. The Oxford Checklist is a  list consisting of multiple landmarks in which people will have to visit and sometimes there's a task along with it. For instance, one sight is to visit a specific place on campus while intoxicated, and it will then appear to look like the "door knob to the universe." A few of the places were inspired by Oxford's legendary William Faulkner. Two of the places have ties to Faulkner. Many people have visited the checklist, but not all have had the best experience. If you are caught at a few of the landmarks it could lead to large fines and jail time. Even though its risky it hasn't stopped people from going. So the next time you're looking for something to do, visit the Oxford Checklist but at your own RISK!
