Local Hip-Hop Producer Creates Unique Sound

From the annual Double Decker Arts Festival to Fat Possum Records, the city of Oxford plays a big part in Mississippi's music scene. A few bands from Oxford have recently made it big, including Bass Drum of Death and Young Buffalo. Despite the successes of these bands, hip-hop artists from Oxford are not gaining any national attention. Local producer Tori Garrison wants that to change. The Oxford native has been working for years to create sounds for local rappers that could help them gain the attention of big time record studios, while also gaining popularity for himself.
