After moving to their new and larger location on Jackson Avenue, Knit1 Oxford is seeing an increase in business. Owner, Patsy Engelhard, said in a city that is surrounded by homegrown restaurants and businesses ran by local people, Knit1 Oxford is an ideal retail store for the city. She sees her business as a community center where people can grow creatively and challenge themselves in learning new skills.
With the intimate relationships Engelhard creates with her customers, she emphasizes the organic products Knit1 Oxford has to offer, through handspun and hand-dyed products. Knit1 Oxford strives to be unique through the products they carry, but also hosts classes for those who are wanting to learn how to knit and create products with their own hands.
