Ole Miss AOII Hosts Annual Pie Sale Benefiting the Arthritis Foundation

Ole Miss student supports AOII and purchases a slice of pie from
the philanthropy event.
Philanthropy became a whole lot sweeter this Wednesday when Alpha Omicron Pi paired with the Arthritis Foundation to hold their annual "Slicing out Arthritis Pie Sale". Students and members of the Oxford Community purchased either a slice or whole pie from an AOII and got to enjoy the event held inside the sorority house from 6-8 p.m.

The event benefits the Arthritis Foundation on a national scale, however AOII's and their National Philanthropy Chair found a way to give back directly to the Mississippi community.

"We are able to see our efforts come to fruition because we sponsor a little girl named Chloe who has juvenile arthritis", said AOII's National Philanthropy Chair: Elizabeth Ward. "We help raise funds for her treatments and make sure that she has everything that she needs".

Every proceed from this event went directly to this foundation to help people suffering from arthritis like Chloe. Reporter Kelly Loggins has more on this story:
